As the days get cooler, it becomes more important for us moms to find indoor activities to keep our little ones busy. These Halloween candy jars are a perfect project to work on with your children. (And PS…When the weather goes from cool to cold, simply swap out the Halloween embellishments and candy corn for some winter holiday fun!)
Materials:
- Apothecary Jars (Note: These can be pricey. I found them at my local large chain craft store, and used a 40% coupon to help offset their cost, but get creative. You may have old vases in your home that could work just as well!)
- Scrapbook Paper (You don’t need much! Scraps will work!)
- Spider Web Punch (Again, another somewhat expensive item, but I bought mine last year, the week after Halloween for 70% off!)
- Ribbon
- Stickers
- Adhesive Runner
- Scissors
- Candy Corn!
Directions:
1. Follow manufacturer’s directions to punch a strip of paper long enough to wrap around your jar, and overlap in the back about a ¼ of an inch. For my jars, I cut a piece 1 ¼” wide by 12” long, then punched on both long sides. Use an adhesive roller to adhere the punched paper to your jar.
2. Cut ribbon long enough to wrap around your jar and overlap about a ¼ of an inch. Again, use an adhesive roller to adhere to jar.
3. Place stickers on jar.
4. Fill with candy corn! Yummy!!

Yes! I already have some ideas for how they will fit into my Christmas decor this year...as soon as we finish eating all the candy corn inside!
