The move from diapers to a potty trained toddler is huge milestone. Of course it does bring about a new problem; "Mommy, I have to go potty!" I don't know about your kids but my oldest always says this right after I put her two brothers into their car seats or some other time when there are no bathrooms in sight. I went on the hunt for a portable potty I could keep in my car or with me. Well, I found The Potette Plusand I LOVE it!! I have been using it for over a year and think its one of the most useful tools a mom of potty trained kids could own.
This is the greatest little potty for so many reasons. First of all, it has disposal liners (perfect for on the go). The liners come in packs of 10 for $5.00. They have a pad inside the liner, on the bottom that absorbs liquid and I have never had one leak. You can put as many as 3 liners on the potty at a time so you always have one ready to go. When your child is done using the potty, you just take the liner off and tie the handles together. Secondly, the potty is so compact. The legs fold up so that it is relatively flat, less than 3" thick. You can put it in the carrying bag it comes with and put it in a big diaper bag or backpack. Another great use is as a potty seat. If you put the legs out, instead of folding them in, the seat can be used on a regular toilet as a childs potty seat. This is great when you are visiting family or if you are in a public restroom. (of course I have found a solution for dirty restrooms too and it doesn't involve my clean potette) We keep our potette in the car set up all the time. I have added a roll of toilet paper and now we are ready to go.
This potty is a must for long car rides, shopping trips, the park, camping, boating, and anywhere else your tot needs to use the potty. And, although I'm sure its not recomended, I'm not the first adult to use the potty in a real emergency.
The Potette Plus is normally $16 (and I think that is a great price) but I noticed that right now its on sale at amazon for only $12.74. So, don't delay and order one in the color of your choice. Don't forget the liners too!!
